First Major Lease for Mixed-Use Complex Under Construction on Site of Former Boyce Thompson Institute Property in Yonkers
YONKERS, NY (August 5, 2015) – In its first major lease at the Boyce Thompson Center under construction in Yonkers, Simone Development Companies has announced that St. John’s Riverside Hospital has signed a 15,000-square foot lease for medical offices at the mixed-use complex.
St. John’s Riverside, which is the largest community hospital in Westchester County, is leasing the entire two-level freestanding glass and aluminum building that will be built at the corner of Executive Boulevard and Executive Plaza. St. John’s Riverside is located on North Broadway less than one mile away from the Boyce Thompson Center.

The Boyce Thompson Center is a modern 85,000-square-foot mixed-used complex under construction on the site of the former Boyce Thompson Institute. Located at the intersection of North Broadway and Executive Boulevard in Northwest Yonkers, the new Boyce Thompson Center will include office space for business and medical use on the upper floor of the building with the front and rear grade levels housing medical offices, retail stores, banking and two restaurants. The historic Boyce Thompson building, which was built in the 1920s, will be restored to its original character. The $35 million project, which broke ground in June, is expected to be completed in 20 months.
