(Greenlawn, NY – November 11, 2018) – Simone Development Companies, a full-service real estate investment company
specializing in the acquisition and development of medical office, retail, mixed-use and industrial properties in the New York tri-state area, recently celebrated the grand opening of a new state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot health complex for Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island at 5 Cuba Hill Road in Greenlawn, NY in Suffolk County. Simone Healthcare Development was responsible for the acquisition and development of the facility, transforming the building into the new, state-of-the-art ambulatory care center.
Defense contractor BAE Systems sold 18 acres of its Greenlawn property to the Bronx-based developer in 2015. At the time, Simone Development leased the four-building complex totaling 200,000 square feet back to BAE for varying lengths of time. A nearly 9-acre portion with two existing buildings was subsequently redeveloped for medical use for the Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island (formerly North Shore Medical Group), which is part of the Mount Sinai Health System.
“Simone Healthcare Development is proud to once again have worked with Mount Sinai to provide a new home for their expanding medical services on Long Island and throughout the tri-state region,” said Guy Leibler, president of Simone Healthcare Development. “Our company is dedicated to working with leading healthcare providers on all aspects of site selection, acquisition and development so that they may concentrate on delivering the best medical care possible.”
